French Wedding Crisis Averted!
If there is anything that could make a couple panic it would be to have your selected florist cancel your wedding on her calendar 1 month before! This is what happened to India and Greg for their recent July ‘23 wedding.
Contacted by the bride’s mother, I knew that this was the time to assure her that I would be happy to replace their original florist and there would be no longer a need to worry.
Despite a rocky beginning a month from the wedding, the day, despite rain, was beautifully located at Chateau de Redon about 2 hours from Bordeaux, France. A perfect destination wedding in the peak of summer. The rain gave us cooler temperatures so that my own worries with respect to flowers was unfounded. Thankfully, all the beauties held up well despite arriving a day earlier due to the 14th of July being a French National holiday.
The bride not only wore white as often expected but she chose for her bridesmaids to also wear white along with a little ring boy and flower girl, adorned with a floral crown of white blooms.
The ceremony was just the right amount of decor with 2 white pedestals for 2 large bouquets, white petals lining the aisle and 2 large ground arrangements that framed the celebrant and the couple. Dinner was 1 long table of 22 meters where I made a greenery garland and placed white roses and other white flowers in it. The final touch was the cylinder vases of white candles. All surrounded by old 18th century stone and wood, the chateau became the perfect backdrop for the beginning of their life together.
