In this blog, you’ll discover how I’ve created unique floral designs at some of France’s most enchanting châteaux, each tailored to match the distinct atmosphere and charm of the venue. Whether you envision a fairytale wedding in a grand château or a romantic celebration in a rustic estate, I’ll guide you through how flowers can elevate each setting. From color palettes that complement the architecture to seasonal blooms that bring the surroundings to life, this blog will offer you inspiration based on real weddings I’ve designed at these stunning locations, helping you envision the perfect floral arrangements for your own dream château wedding.
Château Carsix
Château Carsix is a stunning 18th-century estate in the heart of Normandy, France, offering a romantic and elegant setting for weddings. Surrounded by lush gardens and picturesque landscapes, this historic château provides a fairytale atmosphere for couples seeking a timeless celebration. With its grand interiors and serene outdoor spaces, Château Carsix is perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger receptions. Its charm, history, and beauty make it an unforgettable venue for a dream wedding in France.
Emily and Will had a 10 meter honor table seating 48 guests with a 10 meter baby’s breath garland down the middle and surround pillar candles. The 6 meter cloud hung over the center of this table and had crystal tear drops hanging to reflect the candle light. The other guests’ tables had floral centerpieces and/or budvases of mixed white flowers. Their event took place in a covered, large orangery outside of the château.
Château Le Prieuré
Château Le Prieuré is a charming 19th-century château overlooking the Loire Valley, offering breathtaking views and an intimate, romantic setting for destination weddings. With its elegant interiors, lush gardens, and panoramic terrace, it provides the perfect blend of historical charm and natural beauty. Ideal for couples seeking a serene yet sophisticated celebration in the heart of France. Lanji and Jeremy used both the outdoor terrace for dancing and dining for a July wedding and brunch and cocktails were also indoors in a beautiful appointed venue.
Château de Bouthonvilliers
Château de Bouthonvilliers, nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Loire Valley, is a serene and elegant venue for destination weddings. Surrounded by lush parkland and beautiful gardens, this 18th-century château offers an intimate, romantic atmosphere. Its timeless charm and secluded setting make it perfect for couples seeking a tranquil yet refined wedding celebration in the heart of France. The locations for having your wedding flowers are abundant here at Chateau Bouthonvilliers: Outdoors under the trees, under a stone portico, in a refurbished garden greenhouse or next to a lake with a peacock! There is a small intimate chapel with gorgeous stairs to fill with a garden path of flowers and indoors, the decor is from another time and so romantic. Tables can have centerpieces of flowers, doorways or chimney’s can have flowers. This venue has endless floral possibilities. And I’ve done created several floral designs for weddings here and it is one of my favorite.
Château Saint Michel in St. Liziers
Château St. Michel, located in the historic village of St. Liziers, France, is a breathtaking venue for a romantic wedding. With its stunning views of the Pyrenees and elegant interiors, this château blends old-world charm with natural beauty. Its intimate gardens and picturesque surroundings create a perfect setting for couples seeking a peaceful yet luxurious destination wedding in the south of France.
Château de Redon
Château de Redon, situated in the scenic Dordogne region, is a captivating venue for a dream wedding. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside, this elegant château offers both grandeur and intimacy. Its expansive grounds, historic architecture, and charming outdoor spaces provide endless opportunities for stunning ceremonies and receptions, making it an ideal choice for couples seeking a romantic, countryside wedding in France. It has a great Plan B if rain or poor weather attempts to force a change of plans. There is a beautiful stone barn that is long enough for guests to eat at one table. Flowers can be used in different ceremony areas as it has a woodland park, view of the valley behind, the barn, swimming pool and a grand court yard that for most of the year is filled with hydrangeas creating a beautiful backdrop for your champagne toast.
