8 Wedding Trends For 2024

Wedding flower trends evolve from year to year, and 2024 is likely to see some new and exciting floral design ideas. Here are eight wedding flower trends that could be popular in 2024 and some have already shown up in late 2023:

  1. Sustainable Florals: I am a sustainable florist using reusable mechanics and recycling as much as possible. As environmental consciousness grows, expect to see more couples opting for sustainably sourced and eco-friendly floral arrangements. This might involve locally sourced blooms, repurposed containers, and reduced floral waste.

  2. Dried Flowers and Grasses: My garden was filled with dried flower species and now hang drying ready to be put in bouquets and wreaths. The trend of incorporating dried flowers and grasses is expected to continue in 2024. These elements add a rustic, boho, or vintage touch to wedding decor. They can be used in bouquets, centerpieces, and even hanging installations.

  3. Bold and Vibrant Colors: Check out the tropical wedding of Sheimaliz and Jeefer here. In contrast to the pastel and muted color palettes of previous years, 2024 may see a resurgence of bold and vibrant colors. Think rich jewel tones like emerald green, deep purples, and vivid oranges. And as a floral artist I hope this will be everywhere!

  4. Texture and Variety: I love painting with flowers and this means making sure there is balance, color, sizes and textures by choosing the right flowers. Couples are increasingly looking for diversity in their arrangements. Combining traditional blooms with unique elements like succulents or proteas can create a stunning visual impact.

  5. Monochromatic Bouquets: Not sure how I feel about this one but monochromatic bouquets, which feature flowers of the same color but varying shades and textures, are gaining popularity can be great when there is a larger wedding party. This creates a harmonious and sophisticated look.

  6. Floating Floral Installations: This trend has been gaining popularity for the last few years. Hanging floral installations above the ceremony or reception area can create a magical and enchanting atmosphere. Floating arrangements with a mix of greenery and blooms can be a show-stopping element at weddings.

  7. Oversized Floral Arrangements: Larger-than-life floral arrangements as centerpieces are expected to be a hit in 2024. These arrangements can serve as statement pieces and create a breathtaking visual impact.

  8. Floral Hoops and Circles: Floral hoops and circular arrangements are becoming increasingly popular for both bouquets and decor. They offer a modern and unique twist on traditional floral designs.

You can mix classic flowers with current trends and this can be a good starting point, but the most important aspect of my floral designs is making you, the bride and groom's vision come to life on your special day here in France.
